Patsy Tyndall Jones, age 75, of Shallotte, NC died Monday at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick Bolivia, NC.

She was born in Columbus County, NC on March 2, 1939 the daughter of the late, Joseph and Emma Tyndall  and was preceded in death by her husband,  Nelson Jones also a son, Ricky Jones

Surviving are a son, Dean Jones of Shallotte, NC; two sisters, Shirley Jacobs of Nakina, NC and Audrey Robertson of Shallotte, NC; four grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Brunswick Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, May 7, 2914 at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Drive Shallotte.

Henry Haywood “Woody” Goley II

Henry Haywood “Woody” Goley II, 70, of Castle Hayne died Sunday May 4, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.

Mr. Goley was born in Columbus County on October 24, 1943 and was the son of the late Henry Haywood Goley and Josie Hewett Goley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, La Donna Goley and two children, Christine G. Martin and Kelly Rae Goley.

He was a graduate of Shallotte School where he excelled in sports. He was a member of the football and baseball teams. He coached a semi-pro league in Wilmington. He was an avid gardener.

He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Goley of Wilmington; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Jessica, Jared, Melissa, A.J., Carissa, Jasmine; three great grandchildren, Cedrionna, C.J., Adelaide; three sisters, Bonnie G. Leonard (Mallary) of Shallotte, Tammy L. Rouse (Robert) of Raleigh, Joy L. Intemann (Bobby) of Wake Forest.

A memorial service will be held Friday May 9, 2014 at 2pm at Jennies Branch Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Ward officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Daniel Brian Varnum age, 46, of Gaildorf, Germany, formerly of Varnamtown, NC passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 17, 2014.

He was born on February 5, 1968 the son of, Herbert (Midget) and Jeanette Varnum.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mona Varnum, a daughter, Lisa and a son, Aaron all of Gaildorf; also three brothers, Michael and wife, Lauren of Graham, NC, Tony and wife,  Lori also Scott and wife, Donna  both from Varnamtown; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Daniel was loved tremendously by his family and will be greatly missed by them and the many friends whose lives he touched along his way.

A celebration of his life will be held 2:30 PM Sunday May 4, 2014 at Dixon Chapel United Methodist Church, Varnumtown by Pastor, Gerald Kirby and Pastor Bill Negron officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Nicky Dorne Brignac

Mr. Nicky Dorne Brignac age 68 of Ocean Isle Beach died Tuesday April 29, 2014 at Novant Health Care Brunswick.

Mr. Brignac was born in Concord, North Carolina on May 11, 1945 and was the son of Helen Sehorn Carter of Southport, NC and the late Henry Joseph Brignac. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Brignac of Concord, Nc. He was a retired long distance truck driver.

In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter, Gina Schavez of Riverside, Ca.; a grandson, Christopher Schavez; three sisters, Janie McClellan and husband Barry of Ocean Isle Beach, Kathy Embler and husband Mickey of Southport, Debra Tarleton and friend Ron of Southport; a brother, Steve Brignac (Linda) of Florida.

A memorial service will be held Friday May 2nd, 2014 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, Shallotte with Reverend Landis Lancaster officiating.

Carolyn Garvey Santiago

Carolyn Garvey Santiago age 72 of Bolivia, NC passed away on Monday April 28, 2014 at the Universal Health Care Brunswick Bolivia, NC.

She was born in Duplin County on November 15, 1941 the daughter of the late, William Paul Garvey and Laura Mae Padgett Garvey and was preceded in death by her husband, James Santiago also,  a sister, Joyce Cavenaugh and a brother, Willie Garvey.

Surviving are two sisters,   Pearl Cavenaugh husband, Orian (Pat) of Wilmington, and Judy Gray husband, Richard of Shallotte ; a brother-in-law,  Leamon Cavenaugh and wife, Mildred of Wallace, NC; a  sister-in-law, Gayle Garvey of Leland, NC; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of life will be held  7:00 PM Wednesday April 30, 2014 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, 3660 Express Drive Shallotte by Reverend Landis Lancaster officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Judy and Richard Gray in Shallotte.

Mrs. Isabelle M. Williams, 94, of Calabash, NC died March 18, 2014.

Mrs. Williams was born February 12, 1920 on Pittstown, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Matthew and Dinah Sedicavage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Williams and a son, Jack Williams and a grandson, Thomas McKenna. Isabelle enjoyed traveling and playing cards.

She is survived by two children, Stanley Williams of Winter Haven, Florida, Joanne McKenna of Calabash, NC; 9 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held May 17th 2014 at 11am at the Union Cemetery in Hackettstown, NJ.

Mrs. Myrtie Hilburn Sellers age 89 of Supply died Saturday April 26, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Sellers was born in Brunswick County on October 11, 1924 and was the daughter of the late John Luke Hilburn and Elizabeth Rabon Hilburn. She was the wife of the late David H. Sellers Sr. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and she attended Supply Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children, David H. Sellers Jr. and wife Linda of Supply, Joyce Hicks and husband Randy of Morehead City; six grandchildren, Michelle Long, Jeremy Sellers, Daren Sellers, Ryan Hicks, Michael Hicks, Alyssa Hicks; four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Austin, Savannah, Kyleigh.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 29, 2014 at 2pm at Supply Baptist Church with Reverend Bill McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in the Galloway Cemetery, West.

Mr. Edwin Emil Parbst Jr., 69, of supply died April 20, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia.

Mr. Parbst was born August 29, 1944 in Rockville Centre, New York and was the son of the late Edwin E. Parbst Sr. and Ruth Carter Parbst. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving from 1962-1966. He was the owner-operator of an auto repair and auto sales business. He retired to Supply, NC in 1992 where enjoyed his love of deep sea fishing as a charter boat captain and first mate for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elizabeth; daughters, Catherine Parbst Accurso (Dr. Joseph) of Miami, Florida, Alicia Colgan of Stafford, Virginia, Laura Russ (Daniel) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; grandchildren, Tyler, Kayleigh Elizabeth, Joshua, Haylea Grace, Sarah Elizabeth; sisters, Judith Cuccia (Joseph) of NY and Maureen Myers (Dan) of Michigan.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday May 10, 2014 at 3pm at White Funeral Service Chapel, 3660 Express Dr., Shallotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. June Carmen Robinson

Mrs. June Carmen Robinson 72 of Supply died Friday April 18, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick.

Mrs. Robinson was born May 29, 1941 in Chincoteauge, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Virginia Berkel Clark. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Clark. She retired from Brunswick County Schools as a Cafeteria Manager. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Robinson; two daughters, Lisa R. Ward of Supply, April Robinson of Shallotte; three grandchildren, Coby Walker, Abigail Perry, Jay Ward Jr.; a brother, Arnold Clark of Chincoteauge, Va. And two sisters, Elodie Fish and Arlene Wilgus of Chincoteague, Va.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 21, 2014 at 1pm at White Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte with Reverend Darren Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Silent Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, O’Brian Robinson, Dennis Hewett, Brent Robinson, Jerry Benton, Colton Robinson, Mike Orzell.

Silas Nelson Oller

Silas Nelson Oller age 17 of Sunset Beach died Sunday April 6, 2014.

Silas was a sophomore at West Brunswick High School and a member of the school band.

Silas was born in Rockford, Illinois on February 15, 1997 and was the son of Nelson Oller of Columbia, SC and Laura Heim Oller of Sunset Beach. Other survivors include four brothers, Seth Parnell, Stephen Parnell of Belvidere, Illinois, Terrance Oller, Jesse Oller of Lincoln, Illinois; grandparents, Bill and Marilyn Reagan of Calabash, Deloris Oller of Lincoln, Illinois, Thomas and Soila Heim of Grand Prairie , Illinois.

A memorial service will be held Friday April 11, 2014 at 6pm at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church, Hickmans Crossroads, with Reverend Phil Norris officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm at the church prior to the memorial service.
